Melissa had dogs, cats and many different types of rodents as a child which led her to her calling in working with animals as an adult. She attended the Alfred State College Veterinary Technology program from 2002 until she graduated in 2004 with an Associate in Science degree. She worked as an LVT after obtaining her license in 2004 and joined our team after her first child was born in 2010. She took a short City Creatures hiatus from 2012 until 2013 at which time we were able to warmly welcome her back to our family after her daughter was born. Melissa has continued to grow with City Creatures and was promoted to lead veterinary technician in 2016. In 2018 she was promoted to our Inventory Manager and balances that while also taking care of your pets needs.
