Grace has had a deep understanding and passion for all different kinds of animals ever since she was a little girl. Her best friend was her childhood dog, Cookie, a stray pit bull her parents brought home. She also grew up with cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, and fish. When she was only eight years old, she helped rehabilitate two baby bunnies that lost their mother to dog. She also cared for two wild baby sparrows when she was thirteen. After graduating high school in 2012, Grace knew she wanted to work with animals, but wasn’t sure which career she wanted. She began studying Biology and Zoology at Erie County Community College. She then joined the Animal Management program at Niagara County Community College in 2014 where she interned at five different animal care facilities: North Ridge Farms, the Aquarium of Niagara, the Amphibian and Reptile House at the Buffalo Zoo, the Niagara County SPCA, and the Primate Sanctuary. She graduated in 2016 with an Associate degree in Animal Management. She has also studied dog training including some police K9 work and currently volunteers at the Primate Sanctuary. She loves being able to work with all different types of animals and is excited to be a part of our team.
