Dr. Helene Chevalier was born in France and graduated from Toulouse Veterinary School, France in 1995. She completed an internship in Intensive Care/ Anesthesia at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and a residency in Anesthesia at Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Dr. Chevalier originally worked with horses and developed a special interest in Critical Care and Anesthesia. Her love for animals, extreme dedication and empathy were fulfilled when she invested herself into Shelter Veterinary Medicine for 15 years. During these years, Dr. Chevalier contributed to improve animal care in shelters, was in the first class graduating from a 5 semesters Forensic Veterinary Certificate and helped numerous pets find loving homes. Interacting with clients as well as seeing pets growing in their family from birth to old age motivated Dr. Chevalier to join City Creatures in August 2020. Her professional interests are numerous and include anesthesia, pain management, soft tissue surgery and medicine. When not working, she loves to spend time with her daughter, friends and furry family: currently 2 cats, 2 dogs and one horse.
