After moving from her hometown in Maine, and spending 7 years in Austin TX, Alicia landed herself in Buffalo to finish her degree in animal behavior, ecology, and conservation. Alicia has had a passion for animals since she was a small child, and hopes to strengthen the understanding between humans and non-human animals. As a former dog trainer, Alicia is well aware of the importance of creating understanding between species, and is passionate about extending this thought process to include all sentient creatures. When not at work or focusing on her education, she can be found spending her time in nature or reading a good book. She loves swimming, kayaking, reading authors like Stephen King, hiking, and spending time with her dog, Zander.
